Meet Jennifer Haen, LMT
A Career That Started With Sports
Jennifer’s path to massage therapy began with athletics. She studied at UW-Green Bay and completed the internship route to become a certified athletic trainer, then worked with high school athletes. Of all the hands-on work she did, massage was the part she found herself enjoying most.
When it was time for a career change, that interest led her to Blue Sky School of Massage in Green Bay, where she graduated in July 2003. Jennifer quickly discovered that a traditional salon or spa setting wasn’t really her style. With her background in athletics, she was more drawn to helping people feel better, move more comfortably, and work toward their wellness goals. She went on to work in several chiropractic offices before joining Stone Chiropractic in 2013.
Massage With a Purpose
She likes that no two people come in needing exactly the same thing. Depending on the person and the day, a session may include Swedish massage, deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, or a combination of techniques. Jennifer also offers hot stone massage by request. The warmth from the stones can help muscles relax while adding another layer of comfort to the session.
Outside the Practice
Jennifer grew up in Freedom, and her husband is from Kaukauna, so the area has always felt like home. Together, they have three children. Family life has meant plenty of soccer games, school activities, and time spent cheering from the sidelines. Jennifer also enjoys biking and gardening with her husband, running, scrapbooking, and photography. In fact, at her kids’ sporting events, she’s often the one everyone expects to have a camera in hand.
